Business subscription terms. Locksmithy is intended for business use. Important subscription, renewal, cancellation and price information should be read before activating paid billing.
1. The service
Locksmithy Business is a hosted business-management platform for service-business operations. Features can include jobs, scheduling, customers, vehicles, staff, stock, purchasing, quotes, invoices, reporting, customer communications and third-party integrations. Some features depend on external providers and configuration.
2. 30-day trial
New business workspaces normally receive a 30-day free trial. Payment details are not required to create the workspace. Unless the business has been given a Site Owner Free Access override, continuing paid access after the trial requires a valid payment method and successful subscription billing.
3. Monthly subscription and automatic renewal
Tiers T1–T4 are billed monthly at the price displayed on the Pricing page or in the business Billing page. Tier 5 uses a custom monthly price agreed with Locksmithy Support. By authorising a payment method, the Account Owner authorises Square to store the payment method and process recurring Locksmithy subscription charges. The subscription continues month-to-month until cancelled or otherwise ended under these terms. The current tier, price, payment status and billing change history are shown in Business Admin → Billing.
If a payment fails, Locksmithy may provide a configurable grace period. If payment remains unresolved when the grace period ends, workspace access can be paused. Data is not automatically deleted merely because billing access pauses.
4. SMS allowances
The monthly customer SMS allowances are measured in carrier SMS units: T1 — 0; T2 — 1,000; T3 — 3,000; T4 — 5,000; T5 — the custom allowance recorded for that business. A long message or a message containing Unicode characters can require more than one carrier SMS segment and therefore consume more than one SMS unit. The allowance resets by Melbourne calendar month. SMS is hard-limited at the server; once the remaining allowance cannot fit the next message, that customer SMS is blocked until reset or the tier/allowance is changed. There is no automatic per-unit overage charge under the standard tiers. ServiceM8 Reporting / Collection Follow-up SMS is a separate provider path: it is sent through the connected ServiceM8 account and uses ServiceM8 SMS credits rather than the Locksmithy Mobile Message allowance.
5. Cancellation and plan changes
You may request cancellation or a plan change through the in-app Support area or the public Contact page. We will process a valid request as soon as reasonably practicable. A cancellation ends future recurring subscription periods after the effective cancellation point communicated to you; it does not remove charges already validly incurred for a period already supplied. We will not intentionally keep charging for periods during which Locksmithy has suspended access because the service cannot be supplied by us.
Where we propose a material price or subscription-term change, we will provide reasonable notice and explain the options available before the change takes effect. Site Owner Free Access and custom billing overrides are recorded in the company billing history.
6. Acceptable use and account security
You must use Locksmithy lawfully, keep account credentials secure, assign access only to authorised staff, and not attempt to bypass tenant isolation, security controls, SMS limits, billing controls or provider restrictions. Account Owners are responsible for the accuracy of business settings and permissions they configure.
7. Business data, export and retention
The subscribing business retains responsibility for the business/customer information it enters and for having lawful authority to use it. Locksmithy provides operational controls for access, private exports, archive and retention review. We may retain platform records where reasonably required for security, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution or backup integrity.
8. Availability, integrations and changes
We aim to operate Locksmithy reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Third-party integrations such as Square, Xero, ServiceM8, email and SMS services can experience their own outages or API changes. We may update Locksmithy to improve security, reliability or functionality and publish material platform changes in the Changelog.
9. Liability and Australian law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitation of liability must be read subject to applicable Australian law, including protections that may apply to consumers or small businesses. These terms should not be read as removing statutory guarantees or rights that apply despite the contract.
10. Contact
Questions about subscriptions, cancellation or these terms can be submitted through the Contact page.
